Cyberyouth
Dear Mac users: If you encounter issues running the game in your browser, we recommend downloading the available downloadable version for macOS located at the end of this page.
The Cyberyouth app is an engaging and educational cybersecurity game that puts players in front of an old computer terminal to defend against relentless cyber-monster attacks. Players must use their quick thinking, cybersecurity knowledge, and precise mouse movements to fend off the digital threats while racing against the clock. Failure to respond correctly will leave the player temporarily dazed, emphasizing the importance of making the right decisions in real-time cyber defense.
You find yourself at an old terminal, facing off against a cyber-monster that represents various digital threats.
The cyber-monster will attack you constantly during the game; your mission is to destroy it before it destroys a shield representing the overall integrity of the system you are trying to protect.
Each cyber-monster attack simulates real-world cyber threats, such as phishing emails, malware downloads, and social engineering attempts. You must identify and respond to these threats correctly to prevent damage to the digital system you are trying to protect and doing so also reducing the monster’s life.
You control a graphic representation of a hand using your mouse. To counter cyber-monster attacks, you need to navigate the hand to the terminal's big buttons, selecting the correct response by scrolling through possible answers (right and left button), load the answer (center button) and the shoot (red button) the monster.
Selecting the wrong response results in a 'dazed' effect on you. During this period, controlling the hand becomes difficult, simulating the confusion that can follow a cybersecurity mistake.
The game is designed to educate you about cybersecurity concepts, best practices, and common threats. The game presents different threats, making you more cyber-aware and better equipped to protect yourself online.
The game isn't just a game; it's a learning experience. You will gain valuable insights into cybersecurity while having fun and honing your reflexes and decision-making abilities.
Whether you're a cybersecurity enthusiast or a casual gamer looking to learn, this game offers something for everyone.
The Cyberyouth app is more than just a game; it's a tool for improving cybersecurity awareness and skills. Enter the world of digital defense, battle cyber-monsters, and become a Cyberyouth champion while learning how to protect yourself and your digital assets from real-world cyber threats. Are you up for the challenge?
